Explanation of your prior experience of and learning around similar products

In the past I have worked on various units in media which involved me having to plan and produce a number of different pieces of work to a client brief these included unit 14 and 16 where we were tasked with creating a radio advert, with unit 15 we created idents to advertise a chosen Tv channel and for Unit 3 we worked on the opening of a thriller. The way that we completed the set work for each of the units started off with creating all the necessary documents for that piece of work before moving onto beginning to complete the project itself. This has been done in other subjects where I have been given a client brief and have had to plan out and complete a project such as what I am doing currently which is hosting a disco for year 7s and 8s which itself involves having to complete all the necessary stages regarding the planning of the disco itself before moving onto actual hosting it at a later date.

In response to the knowledge that I have obtained particularly radio when we created a radio advert to create awareness through the creation of a radio advert explaining the effects of mental health problems that can affect a person's mindset in response to opening themselves to the use of social media, as time went on for this project it helped with understanding the idea of the stages required in order to plan out what will be done for a particular project in order to be able to complete it effectively. 

In regard to my practical and technical experience that I have whilst completing various pieces of work in response to a client brief, I have gained experience in both aspects however I do believe my strengths mainly link to practical tasks which I have had to do involving the use of a camera and learning about the different settings and shots and clips that can be taken when using a camera as well as learning to adjust these settings. This has also been demonstrated in my other subject where I have had to produce and present a PowerPoint presentation to an audience which has helped gain experience when it comes to being able to stand up present in front of an audience. On the other hand, in terms of my technical experience this is not on par to my practical experience despite me still gaining an idea when it comes to technical sides of my work such as editing and working to create the necessary documents for my projects however, I am not as effective when it comes to the technical side of things as opposed to practical experience which I have become more comfortable in.

Despite the fact that I have gained a great amount of experience and understanding when planning and producing a piece of work in response to a given client brief there are areas which require development upon these primarily being the technical side of things such as editing and creating any necessary documents this can be worked on the more projects I complete which will help with gaining a great of experience meaning I will become more comfortable in these areas.
